Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long will my site take to complete?
Completion times of websites vary greatly depending on the size of the site. The smallest sites may be completed on the same day you sign the contract. A site under 10 pages can generally be completed in a week or less. A large e-commerce site with hundreds of products can take about a month to complete.

How much input can I give on the design of my site?
We always welcome and encourage as much input from you as possible. Ultimately, we want you to be happy with your website investment. At the least we require information about your business/industry so that we can do our own research before we begin. Chances are you'll be happier with the end result if we have more input from you.

How much work can be done in an hour?
Since a lot of our services are charged by the hour, we get asked this question quite often. The answer is, it depends on the work that we're doing. For example, simple static html design can be done quite quickly, sometimes at a rate of up to 10 pages an hour when most of the content already exists. Custom PHP scripting, on the other hand, can take up to 2 to 3 hours for a script that is 2KB in size becuase extensive testing and tweaking is required. Adding products to a database is often a rapid task if the product descriptions and images already exist in electronic format.

Can you estimate the amout of hours it will take? Do you provide a guarantee?
Absolutely! Our standard policy is to find out from you in detail the work that you want done. We will then provide a written contract with a price quote for the work stated. We guarantee to complete all the work stated on the contract for the price quoted.

What are your payment terms?
Upon signing the contract, we require a 25% non-refundable payment. The rest is due upon completion. If the job is particularly large, we may require progress payments as work progresses. Your contract will inform you of the actual payment terms.

How long do I have to use the free hours included with the website package?
We give you one month from the date of completion of your website to use the free hours. You choose how you want to use them.

Can I use my free hours to have you update another site?
No, free hours are only for use on the site for which they were earned.

Can I preview my site as it is being completed?
If you site is dynamic (e-commerce, PHP), which we will give you access to. If your site is static (HTML only) we will provide you with an image-only preview.

I do not know how many hours my site will take, how much will it cost?
Please fill out our quote request form and will will email you a quote. We will generally be able to give you a quote in 24 hours, unless we require further information. If you would like to proceed with the quoted price, we will send you a contract, which you must sign and return.

What if I want changes as my site is being completed
Please let us know as soon as possible. We may be able to accommodate changes without any price change to you, but this will depend on the nature of the changes. If changes require an increased cost, we will send you a change order which you must sign and return. Alternatively, we may be able to use your included free hours to make the changes.

I just want occassional updates, no contracts, will you work with me?
Yes, we will work on an hourly basis at the rates stated on this website. Upon completion, we will send you a detailed time log. You will owe us for the amount of hours stated. We will turn the work over to you once we receive payment. For new clients, we may require a down-payment for work to proceed. We generally bill established clients on a monthly basis.

Who owns the copyright to my website or website work?
Our clients own the work we create for them. Items that were given to us by the client retain their respective copyrights.
